This Privacy Policy explains how Perxli ("Perxli", "we", "us") collects, uses and protects information when you use our website and platform (the "Service"). Perxli is built for creatives in Kenya to manage client projects — from proposal to payment — and this policy covers both the account holder (the "Creative") using Perxli and, where relevant, the Creative's own clients whose details are entered into the Service to generate project documents.
By using Perxli, you agree to the collection and use of information as described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
To generate proposals, contracts, invoices and other documents on your behalf, you provide us with details about your projects and your clients — for example a client's name, contact details, project scope, pricing and deadlines. You are responsible for having the right to share this information with us; see Terms of Service, section 5.
Perxli does not process or hold payments between you and your clients. When a client pays a deposit or invoice via M-Pesa, you (or your client) add the M-Pesa transaction code to the project so Perxli can match it to the correct invoice and generate a receipt. We do not collect M-Pesa PINs, bank account numbers or card details for these client payments.
If you upgrade to a paid Perxli plan (Single Project or Pro), we or our payment processor will collect the information needed to process that subscription payment separately.
When a client signs a document, we record their typed name, the timestamp, and technical details of the signing session (such as IP address) to create a verifiable signing record.
We automatically collect limited technical information such as browser type, device type, pages visited and general usage patterns, to keep the Service secure and working correctly.
We share information only where necessary to run the Service:
We keep your account and project data for as long as your account is active. On the Free plan, project history beyond 30 days is not retained in full. If you close your account, you can export your documents beforehand; we will delete or anonymise personal data within a reasonable period afterward, except where we are required to keep it for legal, tax or dispute-resolution purposes.
Under the Kenya Data Protection Act, 2019, and its regulations, you (and, where applicable, your clients) have the right to:
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@perxli.com. If a request relates to a Creative's client, we will generally direct it to the Creative, who controls that project's data, unless the law requires otherwise.
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures — including encryption in transit, access controls and regular review of our systems — to protect information against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure or destruction. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Some of our infrastructure or service providers may process data outside Kenya. Where this happens, we take steps to ensure an equivalent level of protection, consistent with the requirements of the Kenya Data Protection Act, 2019.
Perxli is intended for business use by adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will take appropriate action.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through the Service. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
Questions about this Privacy Policy or how we handle your data can be sent to hello@perxli.com.
